  • 250 grams of lentils
  • 1 potato
  • 2 carrots, chopped

  • 5 cloves of garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 liter of water
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of spice
  • Small pieces of meat (chicken, lamb, goat, cow) as desired.

Steps to prepare lentil soup:

  • In a saucepan set over low heat, combine the meat pieces, onions, salt, and oil. Stir the mixture carefully.
  • Allow the onions to wilt and lightly brown along with the meat. Then add grated tomato, allspice, cumin, and paprika.
  • Blend the ingredients until the meat absorbs the flavors of the spices.
  • Pour water into the meat mixture. Rinse and drain the lentils, then place them on top of the meat.
  • Dice the carrots and potatoes into small cubes and add them on top of the lentils.
  • Sprinkle coriander and garlic over the mixture, seal the pot tightly, and let it simmer for 45 minutes.

  • Add the hot pepper and let it simmer for an additional five minutes. Once the texture becomes thick, turn off the heat.
